ABSTRACT FLORAL PAINTING WORKSHOP, LEVEL 1
One Day Workshop - 10-4.30pm
This workshop is suitable for all artistic abilities, even if you're a complete novice, the methods we'll be using are easy to learn and apply.
The images below show the different stages from start to finish, of an abstract floral painting. This painting is representative of the type of composition we'll be creating in this workshop.
We will be working with acrylics on board, and I will be teaching you an impasto technique to create flowers, using a silicone spatula. We will be building up layers of colour with acrylics, and adding an infusion of texture and metallic highlights to our composition, a feature which has become synonymous with my work. See different stages below.
We will be using various different tools and materials, such as credit cards, fine spatulas, precision tip applicator bottles, masking fluid, water based gutta and metallic pastes.

During this four hour workshop, we will be working with acrylics on board, using interesting techniques, including the ubiquitous use of textured metallic highlights.
It's a perfect introduction to all of my painting workshops, giving you a taster of just some of the fun methods and techniques that I use in my work.
Suitable for all levels, no previous experience required. Small intimate group of up to 5 people, run from the comfort of my studio in Ditchling BN6 8GT.
